the first place where the dash is needed is badly designed, when one lands on the edge of the middle platform/island the player is pushed into the second spike-bed instead of being kept on the platform, causing frequent fake deaths.
Yes when I was designing the level in my notbook it looked pretty good but then obviously in game it's a little different. Also in case you were wondering and didn't notice I made the player slightly go up when dashing so it didn't get stuck on ledges.
For your first game jam this is really impressive! The movement is interesting and works suprisingly well (jump is almost like having a jetpack). The level design is fun and the robot animations are charming. The few cons i can think of is the camera can be a bit disorienting at times and the background is quite similiar to the walls. Good submission!

I'd suggest speeding up the jump a little
